The documentary film Apparitions of Trieste, About the words and wind in the life of Dušan Jelinčič shows a retrospective of Dušan Jelinčič's literary works and at the same time offers a multifaceted portrayal of Dušan Jelinčič's personality. It shows him as an intellectual, a writer with an enviable bibliography, an alpinist, a journalist, a knowledgeable Slovene from Trieste... The documentary offers a range of potential answers as to why Dušan Jelinčič should be considered the most successful Slovenian writer among alpinists, or the most successful, most likely also the most awarded alpinist among writers. The central feature of his works is highlighted, which is manifested in the change of perspective. It is this change, the presentation of this internal mental struggle of a (strong) individual in an extreme situation - be it in an Aplinist relationship or in fascist solitary confinement - that is the common thread throughout the entire narrative of the documentary film Apparitions of Trieste, About Words and Wind in the Life of Dušan Jelinčič.
