During September 2017, the Rohingya minority in Burma endured ethnic cleansing, leading to the displacement of 750,000 individuals who crossed the Myanmar-Bangladesh border and sought refuge in the Kutupalong camp. In March 2018, filmmaker Olga Prud'homme Farges embarked on a mission to document the stories of refugee women, many of whom had experienced sexual violence during the conflict. The film director aimed to shed light on the systematic use of rape as a weapon during wartime, with several women bravely sharing their experiences in front of her camera.
