Dimitar Anakiev was born in Belgrade in 1960. He has lived in Slovenia since 1987. He is a doctor by profession. He started working with film because he found himself among the erased inhabitants of Slovenia and wanted to document the life of the erased. In 2006, he received the Vesna Award for the best documentary at the 6th FSF. He shot 21 documentaries and feature films in various formats: from 35 mm to HD. The film "It's not allowed" is the first film that he shot on a mobile phone in conditions that do not allow other recording.
