Miha Mohorič, a traveler, photographer, and filmmaker, captures human lives and their stories, rooted in cultural contexts. Initially trained as a multimedia engineer at the Academy and Institute of Multimedia in Ljubljana (2006), he furthered his studies in Media Production Management at Middlesex University in London (2009). Intrigued by the forces shaping global civilizations and individual lives, he pursued international studies in cultural diversity and transnational processes at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana and the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona, earning a European Joint Master's degree in social and cultural visual anthropology in 2015. Mohorič utilizes documentary film to delve into a diverse range of topics, revealing layered complexities for a broader audience. His focus centers on socio-cultural subjects, particularly those overlooked or concealed from public view. Through his films, he captures the untold stories of "ordinary" individuals, transforming them into compelling visual narratives through his lens.
Mohorič is a co-founder of the Kranjska Gora International Film Festival, where he predominantly engages in the realm of documentary and investigative documentary filmmaking.
