Every year, three brothers — Zekir, Zarif, and Zani — spend several months in the mountains of North Macedonia, tending to their family's flock. The older brothers herd the sheep in the higher pastures, while the youngest stays in the lower hut, tending to the cows. Their rhythm is determined by the work that repeats itself day after day, but in between there are moments for play, laughter, and conversation.
In this remote landscape, the brothers face the questions that come with growing up: who they are as individuals, what unites them as brothers, and whether stability, freedom, and a future can be found in this way of life.
