Extended DOKUDOC Call & Opening of the Heritage in Motion Call

The DOKUDOC festival, offering a platform for audio-visual creators and producers to explore the world of documentary film, is extending this year's call for applications until May 31. The Dokudoc Festival will take place from 14 to 17 September 2023 in the Maribor Puppet Theatre.

We are also excited to announce the latest cooperation with the Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSK), an international institution that expands its mission of connecting creativity in as many as thirteen Slavic countries, and the European Museum Academy (EMA), an international platform for the preservation and research of cultural heritage. We invite you to participate and apply for the Heritage in Motion call, established in 2012 under the auspices of the European Museum Academy and Europa Nostra, which is an intriguing opportunity that combines the world's cultural heritage with the captivating realm of film. This year, as the initiative expands its horizons into the film industry, we are thrilled to welcome the participation of the Mitra association. With their renowned expertise in audiovisual culture development and promotion of intercultural dialogue, their involvement will undoubtedly enrich the collaborative efforts of this initiative.

Heritage in Motion offers four distinct categories for participants to compete and showcase their creativity. Filmmakers working in immersive environments, multimedia installations, and interactive spaces can enter the "New Digital Experiences" and "Virtual and Augmented Reality" categories. The "Heritage Audiovisuals" category delves into heritage-related content, while the "Heritage Schools" category provides a platform for talented high school and college students.

The deadline for project submissions is July 10, 2023. Filmmakers interested in participating can find more information and submit their projects at https://filmfreeway.com/HeritageinMotion. More information is available at https://www.fsk.si/projects/heritage-in-motion/
